Galle
Galle is known as the fortified beach city of the Portuguese which is situated along the southwestern coast of Sri Lanka. This place is prominently famous for the presence of the Galle Fort which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites that has been playing historical and cultural importance from the colonial era. There are a lot of attractove spots that you can count on namely, Dutch Reformed Church, Old Dutch Hospital, Galle Clock Tower and Galle Lighthouse along with the National Maritime Museum, also located at the fort, which takes you back to the beautiful history of the country with the display of art and artefacts which is more than 800 years old. All the nature and wildlife lovers can find their way to the Historical Mansion Museum, that has antiques along with the Galle Literary Festival that is held and conducted by the local people out there.
